Do you have any real sentiments to the increasing popularity of Sorim Couple?
Kim Soeun : I did not anticipate that the audience reaction would be so warm. Was really worried about this before but all of them say that we have done very well and that we are a very fun and interesting couple so I feel very satisfied. As compared to the reactions of a TV drama series, these responses are much faster. People who have watched us onscreen for the first time have all commented that it is really good. Because of the WGM variety show, I've also heard that our drama series are also receiving more attention than before. Because of my skills as a performing artiste in WGM, people are beginning to feel a sense of affinity towards me.
As an actress, you have been making fixed and regular appearances onscreen, and it seems like when you've finally decided to join WGM, this isn't an easy decision for you. Can you comment on this?
Kim Soeun : Having lived up to now, this is the first time that I've felt really distressed and troubled over something. I want to break away from this current image of a demure and methodical person portrayed onscreen who is always seen to be suffering in silence. If I were to display my real personality and show the person I truly am, I feel that I may be able to change my image. But I was really worried because right till the end, they did not reveal who my husband is. Whether I will like or dislike him, we are still spending a couple of months living together as a newlywed couple. As I do not know who my husband will be, this is totally unexpected for me.
Uncovering Kim Soeun's performing arts talent not even known to her before...how does she feel about this?
Kim Soeun : "Do you want to be hit by this?" These kind of words are often said to people whom I'm really close to. But to the audience, they have never seen this side of me before. My usual mannerism and behavior have been revealed, hence, this will also give others an extremely fresh feel seeing me like this.
During your first meeting, there seems to be this sense of awkwardness between you both but now it seems like you are really at ease and comfortable with each other. You should feel very relaxed now, right?
Kim Soeun : Yes, we are a lot more at ease with each other now. Actually, in reality, when I'm in a relationship, I am not the type who like to play push-and-pull. If I really like someone, I'm the kind of person who will definitely show it. But with Jaerim Oppa, there is nonetheless some form of push-and-pull. Because if we are too relaxed, there won't be such feelings of excitement. Since Oppa only knows how to come forward with his "attacks" so sometimes, I will evade too...
