This romantic comedy begins with Gimlung, who’s mother works in the local fresh market. She is very sweet and is always helping the people around the market. Thim is pregnant and doesn’t have the energy to sell vegetables so her husband asks Thong, his brother, to take her place until the baby arrives. He’s a country-boy who doesn’t really take anything seriously and is pretty ill-mannered and silly. He gets into a bit of a quarrel with Gimlung’s mother. Gimlung and Thong meet when he mistakenly takes her drink and they don’t get off to the best start as well. He continues to go back and start another argument. As Gimlung’s mother is pissed, he is just enjoying the fight. Gimlung’s mother has arranged her lover, Ahlong, since before she was born; Gimlung doesn’t want to marry him. He tries to get on the workers’ good side by introducing himself and being friendly. He buys Gimlung’s mother some coffee as an apology but she does not accept it. The whole time, Thong tries to hit on Gimlung. They talk and somehow the conversation led to him trying to prove his “cuteness” to her.
