Captain Yoo Shi Jin, an elite special forces soldier with a military academy background. His father, who was honorably discharged as an army major sergeant, wanted a different path for his son, who was skilled in both academics and athletics. However, Yoo Shi Jin, who highly respected his father, decides to follow the same path. His belief that children, the elderly, and pretty women must be protected, his courage that allows him to speak up to high schoolers who smoke on the street despite his fear of them, and his common sense that tells him wrong is wrong even when a gun is pointed at his temple, are all a part of Yoo Shi Jin’s wish to protect his love for his country, and a soldier’s honor. He’s a lively man who is always confident, and depending on the situation, is witty and likes to joke around.

“What if I still wanted to go with you?”

Kang Mo Yeon, a level-headed doctor. Specifically, she’s a cardiothoracic specialist who has the greatest abilities but believes that private practice in Gangnam holds more truth rather than the Hippocratic oath. It’s because her life has been twisted since her birth, and although she excelled in her studies and ruthlessly finished medical school to become a specialist at age 29, she realizes the sad truth that there’s no business for her without any connections. She believes that because of survival of the fittest, she has no “lame humanism” within her. She says everything that’s on her mind, and has speaking abilities that don’t lose to anyone else’s. Kang Mo Yeon is a person who holds a lot of pride in her abilities, but straightforwardly acknowledges her mistakes.

“Please relay that I am okay, and to not worry about me.”

Seo Dae Young, who’s a soldier down to his core. This is because he seems as if he was wearing the clothes of a soldier rather than a civilian since his birth, and his heart moves at the thought that he is protecting his family and homeland with his own two hands. As a part of the army’s special forces rescue team, he has been involved in aiding many disaster areas, such as the Sichuan province, Haiti, and East Japan after the huge earthquake. Because heavy actions are more comfortable to him than lighthearted conversations, Seo Dae Young doesn’t know how to express himself freely. However, he is a hot-blooded man whose heart is deeper and wider than anyone else’s.

“Don’t get hurt. That’s a command. Protect with your life.”

First Lieutenant Yoon Myung Joo, the terrific female soldier who has her eyes set on only one man. She is someone with many names: Korea’s female soldier, not just a soldier but an army surgeon, the only daughter of the Commander of the Unconventional Warfare Task Force, and the so-called “general’s daughter.” Following her father’s footsteps, she enters the military academy and becomes a soldier. During her first unit assignment, she meets a certain man. However, he is merely a first sergeant with a GED background. She regrets for the first time becoming a soldier, but she refuses to back down. Yoon Myung Joo is truthful with her feelings, and in order to protect her love, she is willing to endure any danger and face everything straight on.

Последний тизер крайне неожиданный. А я вообще вникала в синопсис? Чжун Ки и Хе Ке в дораме по сценарию Ким Ын Сук - зачем знать что-то еще?))) Хотя конечно читала, но сюрпризом оказалась визуальная схожесть с дорамой День Д. Там был экшн так экшн, но нам не хватило романтики. Здесь, видимо, будет компенсация.

Вот я тоже на это рассчитываю. По тизерам хорошая пара получается.

Ну я бы не сказала, что экшн-экшн там был. В начале, да, первых серий 5, а потом больше разговоров. Хотя соглашусь, что романтики было маловато. Так что надеюсь эта дорама будет и драматичней, и экшна здесь будет больше, и романтики не пожалеют. Как гриццо, мне мед, да еще и ложкой ))

Гифки красивые. Визуально, наверно, дорама будет выше всех похвал

Yoo Shi Jin (Song Joong Ki) : Academically gifted and athletic. He knows how to do many things, but he chose to enter a military academy. If his first word was "mother" then his second word was "loyalty". The training grounds was his playground.

Due to this kind of childhood, he was a gifted student in the military academy, skilled in taekwondo and target shooting.

As the Special Warfare Command troop captain, he is an elite soldier in the military. But he is not at all the passionate, patriotic soldier his rank makes him out to be. Instead, he strives to protect children, the elderly, and the beautiful women. He is the type of person to confront (despite fear) a group of smoking high school students. Even if a gun is pointing at his head, he would not do what he considers to be wrong. He is a responsible leader who is able to make split second decisions, trusted by his subordinates. Due to war and disease, a medical group came from his home country - and that's how he met Doctor Mo Yeon.

After sharing times at the cafeteria and training grounds together, his feelings toward her transformed from curiosity to affection. These feelings is the reason he decided to do everything he can to secure their relationship before he returns home. He answered even to her most bothersome requests, as protecting a beautiful woman is one of his main principles. But destiny would not allow the two of them to be separated, as danger comes close to the mole village.



Kang Mo Yeon (Song Hye Kyo) : Her life seems twisted from birth. The times she spent in her relatives' homes made her mature at a young age. In comparison, learning was easy, so was entering into medical school. She didn't have any good memories at medical school, as she spent her time learning how to dissect bodies. She finished six years of college not as a normal girl, but as a medical student.

She is keen and precise. To the professors in the surgery room, she is the best assistant. Without failing any of her classes, Mo Yeon became a specialized doctor at 29. But, without any family background to help her career, she was not elevated to the status of a professor despite being a candidate three times. She couldn't stand it any longer and quit her job. If this time, the daughter of a large shareholder was able to become a professor, next time it would be the son of her superior, or even the nephew of the head of the hospital. These kind of circumstances are inevitable.

Mo yeon decided to go onto various television shows exposing the dark sides of the medical industry with her cynical words. That changed everything. She was a guest to six shows in public broadcasting channels alone, becoming the star of her hospital. She paid no attention to the envious glances of her colleagues. However, due to a scandal with the assistant administrator of the hospital, she was suddenly sent to Uruk as the leader of the medical group. At the time, she didn't know that everything will begin to unravel unexpectedly. It is at this place that she meets the man who is willing to risk his life for her in situations between life and death. For that man and for herself, Mo Yeon took up the long-forgotten scalpel once again.



Seo Dae Young (Jin Goo) : He is a man who hasn't properly worn any clothes since birth. To Dae Young, the military uniform suited him more than any other set of clothes. He wanted to protect his family and his nation with his own hands. Because of this, Dae Young's mind is always heated.

When he was young, he was once a judo contestant who could compete at a national level. However, at the finals, his coach ordered him to lose to his opponent on purpose, as talent is nothing before politics. Unable to comply to his coach's request, Dae Young beats his opponent in one round. That night, Dae Young took off his judo uniform after his seniors beat him half to death. He didn't go back to school. Rather than fighting cowardly on the mats, it seemed better to fight openly in the dark alleys. However, a gangster is a gangster.

To get out of the gangs, he decided to take the qualification exam. After passing the exam, he joined the army as a volunteer, and cowardly violence became the world's most righteous violence. Dae Young chose to join the elite special warfare command. Life in the army pulled him back together. The notoriously harsh training at the army shaped Dae Young as an individual, and he was able to live his life to the fullest. There was also someone who saw the good in him - that person was Myeong Joo.

As Shi Jin's junior, the two of them got along naturally and gradually had feelings for one another. However, after learning that Myeong Joo's father was a general who treated Shi Jin as his future son-in-law, Dae Young dealt with his feelings for Myeong Joo. Rather than using fancy words and phrases, Dae Young was better at taking action, leaving without another word. When Myeong Joo caught up to him at his workplace, Dae Young escaped again. However, his escape is a command rather than of his own volition.

After returning home from Uruk, he drank with Shi Jin, whom he hasn't seen in a long time. Even though the conversation was simple, there was something hidden in the words they exchanged. When they heard of the news of a 6.7 earthquake in Uruk, Dae Young spoke the very words he was trying to hide: "Myeong Joo is at Uruk." If it was possible to have an earthquake in your mind, then at that moment Dae Young's heart shook.



Yoon Myeong Joo (Kim Ji Won) : She has many names. A female officer in the army. A medical officer. The only daughter of a general. She grew up in a traditional military household, deeply influenced by the view that "daughters are unable to carry on the family business" As a result of this view, Myeong Joo grew up neglected by her father. Although her family was wealthy, she did not feel the wealth at all, as the relationship she has with her family was poor. "I wanted to be a man." Her guilt transformed into anger. Because of her father the fire within her began burning. Because she wanted to become a daughter who surpasses ten sons, Myeong Joo enrolled in the military academy. Her straightforward personality is just like a man's.

As protest against her daughter's decision, Myeong Joo's mother was soon hospitalized. Myeong Joo's father used his power as a general to change his daughter's status from a combat officer to a medical officer and orders Myeong Joo to become a doctor when she graduates. Despite her father's request, Myeong Joo saw it as an opportunity. As a medical officer, it is easier to rise through the ranks. Myeong Joo first meets Dae Young as a new officer in the army. For the first time in her life, Myeong Joo wanted to a woman. However, the difference in their upbringing and family background became a big obstacle in their relationship. Myeong Joo began to regret her decision to join the army. Her love for Dae Young drew her toward him, but Dae Young ran away.

With a goal in mind, her mother's protest and her father's orders meant nothing to Myeong Joo, and she used her never-yielding will to come to Uruk, where Dae Young was. However, when she arrived, she received news that Dae Young has already left. In response, Myeong Joo told the signal corps to relay her words to him: "Tell Seargeant Seo Dae Young to stay there, you bastard!"
